There are a number of reason why you may be unable to hear audio from your security camera system. Make sure you have cameras with built-in microphones, and that your DVR supports audio inputs. Also make sure you have a monitor with speakers, and that you are using the HDMI output from the DVR, or VGA + RCA (audio) outputs.
