Yeah so I just want my DVR to take pictures instead of recording video all the time. This will help me save space on my hard drive. I don’t need it constantly recording video, anything you can send me to help?

    That’s a good question we have been asked a lot. Snapshot or picture recording is a feature you can enable with any of our DVRs, NVRs or IP cameras. You can enable snapshot from the recording and scheduling menu on your DVR. Snapshot can be set to motion instead of the standard video recording so during certain times, if motion is detected you will get pictures of the intruder instead of videos. Snapshots are also very useful for storing and sending purposes.  We actually have a great article about this topic found here:
